Rabobank flew a group of Mongolian farmers to New Zealand recently and introduced them to modern shearing techniques. Being from a long line of nomadic farmers they were cutting wool from a herd of 900 with scissors at a rate of 30 sheep a day. Rabobank organised work, lodgings, gear, tuition, and an eye-opening experience for the group.
